Q&A: Is the ‘We all need a laugh” post that’s going around Facebook safe?

Question from Barbara:  I know you’re always posting warnings about scams so I thought I’d ask you about something that’s going around Facebook right now.

I’ve been getting dozens of posts in my newsfeed that read like this:

“This is fun. We all need a laugh. 😂 Type “Barbara is my…”, then hit the middle word on your keyboard until it forms a sentence.

*Then copy, paste with your name.”

Lots of my friends are responding to these messages. Is it safe to respond to them? It looks really fun but I don’t want to get scammed somehow.

Guess what? Eating a Poppy Seed Bagel really can cause you to fail a drug test.

If you’ve ever applied for a job you were probably required to take a drug test as a condition of employment.

And like most people, you probably knew you had nothing to worry about because you don’t use illegal drugs.

But guess what? If you had eaten a Poppy Seed Bagel before going for your drug test there’s a good chance you might have failed it.
