Question from Gerald:  Since all the world’s longitudinal lines converge at the South Pole, which Time Zone is used there (and on the Antarctic continent)?

Rick’s answer:  That’s a great question, Gerald!

As you mentioned, all of our planet’s longitudinal lines (also known as meridians) converge at the geographic South Pole.

For that reason, the South Pole doesn’t have an officially designated Time Zone at all.

Q&A: Why do some bricks have holes in them but others don’t?

Question from Glenn:  I was walking through my local home improvement store and passed several pallets of bricks.

I noticed that most of the bricks had holes in them but the bricks on one pallet didn’t.

I’m just curious as to why some bricks have holes in them but others don’t?
