How to easily prevent snow from sticking to your snow shovel

Well, winter is just around the corner, and if you happen to live in a temperate zone that means you’ll likely be shoveling snow before long.

Personally, I don’t mind shoveling snow. In a weird way I actually enjoy it.

But one thing I don’t enjoy is constantly having to whack my snow shovel on the ground in order to knock a chunk of compacted snow off of it!

As luck would have it, I’ve discovered an easy way to prevent snow from sticking to a shovel in the first place…

Simply apply a thin layer of car wax to both sides of it!

Just take a dry rag and coat the surfaces of the shovel with some car wax, then take a clean rag and “polish” it.

That’s all there is to it. Your newly polished snow shovel will now move tons of snow without a bit of it sticking to your shovel!

Pretty simple, right?

And now, to finish up, here’s a short, but humorous video that demonstrates an interesting alternative to shoveling snow. Check it out!

Note: As always, you can watch the video at full screen by clicking the “square” icon that will pop up in the lower-right corner of the video after it begins playing.
