When I first began my blogging journey I set one very important goal for myself: Strive to write at least one new blog post each and every day.
And for the most part, I’ve met that goal.
Of course there have been a few times when I was unable to write a new post on a given day for reasons that were beyond my control, but thankfully they’ve been few and very far between.
Thanks to the questions I receive from my readers, most days I have so many post ideas to choose from that it’s pretty difficult to select one.
But truth be told, there are days when I struggle to come up with something to write about.
Yep, I too occasionally struggle with “Writer’s Block”.
I’ve developed a list of several things I can do to break that block when the need arises, but there’s one that I’ve found to be most effective (and most enjoyable) for me…
I get up from my desk and take a walk!
A walk in the fresh air never fails to clear my mind and make room so a great idea for a post topic can pop up from out of the blue. And one almost always does.
There’s just something about the peace and solitude of a quiet walk that really seems to get my creative juices flowing.
So the next time you have trouble coming up with a topic to blog about, try this: Get up, go outside and take a short walk. You just might find that it helps you too!
For now, check out the short video below for a humorous look at several ways NOT to break a bout of writer’s block!
It probably won’t be much help with developing an idea for your next blog post, but it just might bring a smile to your face. And when all is said and done, that’s pretty important too, right?
