As you well know, summer will soon be on its way.
Like me, you might be planning to use a fan to keep a room or outbuilding cool this summer to get you through the heat of the day.
Personally, I love using a big box-type fan like the ones you can get at Walmart for around twenty bucks.
Those fans work well and move a lot of air, but they have one huge downside: They don’t have a thermostat.
I don’t know about you, but I hate waking up shivering at 2AM with the fan blowing cold air all over me!
Well, I’ve found the perfect solution…
Turns out you can get a digital thermostat outlet controller that works with most any fan that plugs into a wall outlet.
Simply set the turn-on and turn-off temps on the controller and then plug in the fan and sit back and enjoy the cool breeze while the thermostat controller keeps its digital eye on the ambient temperature for you.
Once the temperature drops to the turn-off temperature the fan will automatically be shut off.
I checked on Amazon and saw they have dozens of these controllers to choose from, but based on its great reviews I decided to go with the DIGITEN Digital Thermostat Outlet Controller Switch pictured above.
Straight to the point, this thing works like a charm.
It’s easy to program, and even easier to use. Once the desired temps have been set you simply plug the fan into the controller and forget about it.
Bottom line: These awesome thermostat controllers allow you to set your fan to come on and go off at the temperatures you choose.
And the best thing is you won’t have to do any electrical wiring in order to make it happen!
To finish up, here’s a short video that shows how easy it is to program the thing. Check it out!
